A short and furious alt rock outing that explores the fixation in today’s society of self-motivation, of breaking comfort zones and creating constant personal challenges…’I am bludgeoned by mindless optimism, in between my eyes I drill a deep incision…’ It asks the question, are we feeling better by creating this constant pressure for ourselves? A sceptical outlook for sure, as the title suggests. The song was recorded at Third Circle Recordings, Brighton, and is from DSS’s forthcoming album to be released in February 2021. The album shares the same name as this single.
